We thought Mavis and Hefner's litter consisted of a BEW and a Broken Chocolate Agouti. Photo with green background to the left, below will show this. Photo directly to the right of that is a picture of the same kits a little over a week later. Read notes under each photo to see how we were wrong in guessing colors this time.
The coats are not fully in and the colors we posted on photo above ended up both incorrect.
Above photo shows the bunny on the right is a chocolate chinchilla, not chocolate agouti. It is a broken pattern of course. Ticking is white, not yellow. This is how you can tell the difference between agouti and chin color.
In the above photo, the bunny ears are pulled back so the color shows on the back of the ears. This is a white bunny with light shading poking through. Shading is chocolate and it shows up similar to a pearl pattern.
The top of the tail is chocolate as well.

What to do on a gorgeous day? Well groom bunnies of course!
Coffee is one of our new bucks here and still a junior. He has never had his hair cut and we are trying to keep his wool so he can be shown real soon. He is a stunning boy!
Europe is a senior buck and also new here. We purchased him last fall from a friend in Syracuse NY. Come to find out he comes from another great breeder friend of ours in Buffalo NY. Europe is gorgeous and has already sired a litter here. We are growing his coat out as well to show hopefully!
Oreo comes from Angie at Littlefoot's in AR. He has been here since he was just weaned and he is one of our favorite boys! He has stunning babies and has lots of them. Although he is not yet showable, we love growing him out. He is gorgeous!
Pumpkin Pie is one of our original does here at CBB. She is over two years old and we have had her since she was a junior. We did breed her once and she had some gorgeous babies! We are growing her out to show right now so maybe after the show we will let her have another awesome litter!
Our Strawberry, chocolate holland lop had these cute babies sired by Eternity, chocolate harlequin recently. They have fur coming in now and looking so cute!
Looks like we may not have to do any test breeding on Mavis or Hefner to see if they carry Vienna. We think this kit of theirs may be a BEW! That saves us from breeding them each to a BEW to find out. For those of you that do not know, Vienna is the blue eye gene. If only one parent passes on the gene and it does not show, that offspring is a carrier. The BEWs and VM (vienna marked) are obvious carriers. VC is a little tougher to know for sure unless you test breed. To know more about this, we are working on a color page that will go live very soon. As for now, we do believe that one of these babies might have blue eyes since both parents are assumed to carry vienna.
Rio and Yogurt had two black kits born on the 7th. This was to get a black heavy marked Vienna for us to keep. She had one but we do not know the gender yet.
Pinkalicious and Oreo had a litter of three born on the 7th. This litter is one REW, one chocolate self and one black self. Because Oreo has not been test bred to a BEW to see if he carries Vienna, we do not know yet if this litter could carry. We will be trying to find this out before the litter leaves.
Mavis and Hefner had a small litter of two kits on the 7th. One looks to be a Broken Chocolate Agouti and the other looks to be white. It is very likely that it is a BEW because both parents are supposed to carry Vienna.
Last but not least is our Twinkle and Europe had a big litter of 8 kits on the 7th as well. Most of the babies look white so we believe them to possibly be Ermines since Twinkle is a chocolate chinchilla. There are two lilac chins and a chocolate chin in the group as well. This litter does not carry Vienna.
Our Holland Lop doe, Chocolate Covered Strawberry (chocolate self) bred to Eternity, our Chocolate Harleqin HL buck and had this sweet little litter of four on January 6, 2020! Of course we can't be sure on colors yet but it seems to look like two chocolate selfs, one chocolate harlequin and possibly a lilac.
